click-bait title. authorization vs authentication. two very different beasts.
- mooreds 2y agoAuthor here. It's kinda the point. People conflate OAuth and federated authentication all the time. But the bigger point I was trying to make in the piece is by separating the concerns of into the authentication event and a token that is the result, you get the ability to add new tech to authentication without affecting apps that consume the token.
