The bad thing is not as bad as the very bad thing.
If you must have a car, then sure, an EV is better than a ICE vehicle. But our local, state, and federal governments should stop subsidizing highways and fossil fuels, and invest in public transit and cycling infrastructure. Solid bus /train service + a bike/scooter is a powerful combination.
