I don't think we talk enough about the state of the world. Is our society creating the conditions for a life worth living? You can look at an individual and say, "Find meaningful work. Explore your passions. Connect with others." But when this advice becomes so universal as to be meaningless, we have to ask: why are we placing people in a river of loneliness and drudgery and telling them to swim against the current?
