The article posits that NIMBY-ism is a myth, and to prove it, they do a thought experiment that shows that building more density in Palo Alto would yield more value, and hence it would be the rational thing to do. But why use an unrealistic thought experiment when you have real world examples of NIMBY-ism in action? This article makes no sense at all.
