IMDB are a renown litigious company. That domain name will not last long after they catch word of this being a thing.
You only have to speak to the owner of OMDB (Open Movie Database) to understand how litigious IMDB are.
- KoftaBob 2y agoThey're also owned by Amazon, which means they have unlimited resources to be litigious too.
- upmostly 2y agoExactly. You do not want to poke the bear... Why do you think there isn't a good alternative to IMDB? My advice would be to take down this domain and repo immediately and go build something that wouldn't attract the attention of a large litigious multinational company.
- SahAssar 2y agoAre you talking about omdbapi.com when saying OMDB? How would you compare that to the situation of TMDB (themoviedb.org)?
