The other issue is that inflation is going up from everything going on in Europe (Ukraine/Russia) and Middle East (Israel/Suez Canal pirates/blocks) and then after the great financial recession many of the blue collar workers who were part of the home building industry changed careers, cities/states have increased housing zoning laws and requirements, and inflation on materials has made building a home more expensive. All these factors are pushing prices up.
