It's a moving target, but if you encourage the sources of the most prevalent items to use packaging that isn't single us plastic, you'd bring down the totals. There would still definitely be a long tail of packaging.
- BizarroLand 2y agoMaking it so that the 60-100 companies producing the majority of single plastics waste face severe economic sanctions or plastics pollution would resolve half of the total plastics trash waste on the planet on its own and have a chilling effect on the single use plastics industry across the board. If they stop buying/making single uses plastics, their customers will stop using them. EZ.
