Every time I look at or have to use pedestrian infrastructure in the US I get the feeling that the local jurisdiction's road engineers think Pixar's Cars is an instruction manual. Like, they would love nothing more than for some master race of pickup truck bros to upload their brains into anthropomorphic cars, discard their primitive flesh, and then run over all the remaining meatbags that refused to join in.
