Don't buy a Honda.
- runjake 2y agoIt's not just Honda. It's pretty much everyone. https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/articles/its-official-cars-are-the-worst-product-category-we-have-ever-reviewed-for-privacy/ https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/privacynotincluded/article...
- noman-land 2y agoIt's pretty bad out there, for sure, but you gotta speak with your dollars to be heard.
- runjake 2y agoUnfortunately, I can't commute by [analog] bicycle, but oh how I'd love to!
- yjftsjthsd-h 2y agoHow exactly does one speak with their dollars in this case? Per that report, there are zero good options. There's nothing to spend my dollars on.
- pseudalopex 2y agoPossibly Volvo.[1] [1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40277797 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40277797
- yjftsjthsd-h 2y agoPossibly. It's unfortunate that Mozilla didn't look at them.

- 1attice 2y agoA pity, because they had some genuinely amazing vehicles that ran forever on basically no fuel. They've really fallen down a deep well -- behind on EV migration, ahead on telemetry collection. Enshittification, I think. Hopefully they'll pull figure it out
- helij 2y agoYou can turn telemetry off. It's pretty easy. It's the first thing that pops on a screen. You'll find other manufacturers worse in this respect.
