I used vcpkg for https://github.com/zig-for/snfm https://github.com/zig-for/snfm - it made builds easy, but I'm on the fence if I'd use it for anything that is single platform. The thing that made it powerful was really good support for cross platform builds, but I could probably do the same thing with FetchContent and a few toolchain files.
