  Except for an huge outlier there in week 40 of 2023 I don’t see anything alarming there. Scrolling down to “Map of z-scores by country” and moving the slider to week 40 of 2023, it seems the outlier is fully caused by Israel’s data. Because of that, I think its cause isn’t Covid, but the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Hamas-led_attack_on_Israel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Hamas-led_attack_on_Israe...) Checking https://euromomo.eu/bulletins/2023-40 https://euromomo.eu/bulletins/2023-40 (“The recent week's estimates for Israel should be interpreted with caution due to significant uncertainty surrounding the delay adjustment.”) and https://euromomo.eu/bulletins/2023-41 https://euromomo.eu/bulletins/2023-41 (“Israel is experiencing an increase in excess mortality which is linked to the current war in the country.”) supports that idea.
