I just went through this transition in Debian testing, I suppose. I wasn't aware it was going to happen, and I didn't have a chance to install updates for two weeks prior, which I usually do every day. It wasn't gracefully. I don't know for sure if that's the transition is the cause, but I managed to break network- manager while updating. Had to load the Deb from my phone and transfer it over since I'm travelling. I managed to force the install but broke KDE in the process. I had to figure out how to connect to the internet from the console and reinstall KDE. That would have been much easier had I not been on the road.
