    I suspect because DKos is a somewhat inflammatory site, and a direct link may trigger some preemptive downgrading, but it is a pretty relevant story.

  I still can't stop visiting Slashdot at least once a day. I wander over to Bluesnews at times too.

  Why would the site save any identifying information about commenters in the first place? What would have happened, had they not had any info?
