Pens are highly personal I think, but something I have never been able to replicate is the right paper to use with them.
One of my first professional business cards, when I was a Legislative Aide for the Energy and Commerce committee, was brilliant for one specific reason: no smear. I could write on the back with any pen and the ink was so well absorbed it did not smear. It has been an impossible task to find writing paper OR a business card with the same properties.
Is there a paper expert that could explain why some paper absorbs ink, locking it in, and others don't? Any recommendations for paper that would work? I use linen fiber now but it's still not the best.
