Debian stable, but my hardware is all old.
Hardware that uses a new chip, such as some wifi devices released in the last couple of years, may require using a kernel from backports or waiting a couple of years for a new major version.
- unkoman 2y agoI'm surprised that so many go for Debian even for desktop. Might just give it a try as I am used to it from the server side.
- GianFabien 2y agoWhen you install Debian, you have a choice of desktops. You can even install multiple if you don't yet have a preferred one.
