What do you think about PLC programming? If someone had time to actually go to school, would that be a bit less saturated. I always see PLC jobs and think wow, those guys make 3x what I did at my peak and can't be replaced by AI as easily, and are sometimes still needed in small towns where nobody needs a regular embedded developer.... Meanwhile, whenever I do a personal FOSS project or a volunteer thing, I find myself using concepts from PLC and SCADA.
