From these pictures, and others I've seen, it seems that the last people still routinely wearing masks are leftist activists. Is there some political statement behind this, or are they trying to hide their identity?

- jinushaun 2y agoHiding identify. Even out here in ultra liberal Seattle, 99% of people have stopped masking.
- hw-guy 2y agoIt's not very effective, then. Back when most people were masked, I had little trouble recognizing most people from the uncovered parts; facial recognition software is even better at it. And many of these masked activists are happy to give their names for attribution in social media or quotes for the press.
