- bradley13 3y agoIt doesn't matter: I wouldn't have listened or understood. Life's lessons require experience, which younger me didn't have.

- JohnFen 3y agoThis is a thing I put a lot of thought into. Years ago, I wrote a short book of the advice I would have given to my young self, and gave a copy to each of my children when they were young. It contains about a dozen points. It's hard to select which of those would be my top pick, but I suppose it would be what I called "the big secret": you can't always decide what is going to happen to you, but you can always decide how you're going to respond to it.
