- switch007 2y agoHe's very good but the whole "you're all useless" is a bit over done. That's on the writers I guess (I've only finished season 2) )
- as1mov 2y agoSame here. The first season was fine, but literally every character is a spiteful grating moron. Couldn't really finish the second season. Tried the first episode of Season 3 to see if it had changed, but nope, they've just dialed it upto 11 now :/ OTOH if anyone is looking for a watchable thriller/detective show set in UK, I would recommend Endeavour.
- junto 2y agoTo be fair, when ISN’T Gary Oldman fantastic? He’s got to be one of the most talented actors Hollywood has ever had.
- atombender 2y agoHe's pretty bad in The Scarlet Letter, a schmaltzy romance. His performance as Beethoven in Immortal Beloved is quite an acquired taste. He's also done a long list of terrible B-movies like The Courier, out of necessity (he's been open in interviews about difficulties getting roles), and it often shows in his performances that he's not passionate about them.
