(2017) Extensive writeup of all the pro's & cons of various parts/families. And a nice guide on what to look for when selecting a part. But ~7y is a long time in electronics world. Eg. RP2040 is missing from this article. Dual core Cortex-M0+ @133MHz & loads of peripherals. Last I checked €0.89/pc in small quantities. Also many software issues may have been ironed out in the meanwhile. Or some of the mentioned parts disappeared from the market.
