Odd commentary given that returns of Bitcoin are phenomenal if you bought in most periods since 2018 except for the previous all time high.
> Why would anyone want to buy Bitcoin or own it unless they are hiding money for criminal purposes or dealing in the dark web.
Take a look into distributed ledger technology; it turns out that everyone can see where Bitcoin transactions are coming from and going to unlike, say, dollars where international banks regularly launder billions (and receive only mild penalties for doing so).

Yes, buy low sell high does work, but Bitcoin stopped making highs. What happened to $100k everyone been promising for the past 7 years? Take a look into distributed ledger technology; it turns out that everyone can see where Bitcoin transactions are coming from and going to unlike, say, dollars where international banks regularly launder billions (and receive only mild penalties for doing so). Still does not answer my question. If anything this makes Bitcoin worse as the justification for owning it , being privacy or anonymity, is invalided.
