I mean, that's cool and all, but I force my phone to 4G to because I've never once needed a 800 Mbps data connection and I get much better battery life with it off. Given how much more finicky 6G is going to be I wonder if it'd make more sense as a home internet provider.
- soylentcola 3y agoSame here. I want fast speeds at home on a wired connection. I don't need to get within spitting distance of gigabit speeds on my cell phone. Hell, a few Mpbs down is enough to stream music in the car or look something up. I would probably think differently if I was using it as a hotspot to do laptop work on the road, though.
- wdb 3y agoYou actually get those speeds?
- SketchySeaBeast 3y agoThere are times when I'm out and about I can run a speed-test and I'll get 800 Mbps on 5G. But if I didn't run the test I'd neither know nor care.
