Does this mean we finally get Adblock on iOS devices?
- fredski42 3y agoUse Orion from Kagi. Get ublock.
- sharpshadow 3y agoInteresting didn’t know they have a browser for iOS with web extensions working I check it out. Thanks. Would be super cool if Ublock works with it as u say.
- vundercind 3y agoI’ve had ad blocking on my iPhone for years. No I didn’t “hack” the device or anything, the last thing I want to do is tinker with my single most important computing device, I need it to work all the time and work well. It’s been possible for years, officially.
- trogdor 3y agoHow?
- CubsFan1060 3y ago1Blocker works amazing for me.
- Terretta 3y ago1Blocker is excellent. So is AdGuard Pro. So is NextDNS profile for iOS. And so is Kagi Orion+ browser with Firefox and Chrome extensions like uBlock Origin. Don't drink the "you can'd do that on iPad" koolaid without asking someone unbiased quietly using these things already.
- talldayo 3y agoDon't forget that Apple first-party services are exempt from this feature. It is Apple's iPad, after all. https://twitter.com/mysk_co/status/1683256902484992004 https://twitter.com/mysk_co/status/1683256902484992004 (probably unrelated) https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/12/apple-admits-to-secretly-giving-governments-push-notification-data/ https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/12/apple-admits-to-...
