Show HN: I made a video-to-text LLM-powered app to save time
Hey HN.
For some time now I've been looking for something to help me get relevant information from a YouTube video without having to watch 45 minutes of irrelevant content.
I also ran into a couple posts complaining about the exact same issue, desperate to find a tool to just get the information without 20 minutes of a random backstory.
So I made CreatorMagic, a tool that uses some LLM APIs to get all the relevant information from a YouTube video in different formats, saving me time and getting straight to the point.
YouTube Url -> (a couple seconds later) -> Blog Post/Summary/Key Takeaways/Twitter Thread, and more
No need to sit through a whole video if I can just read what I need in seconds. The typical "meeting that could have been an email" problem solved

- tapizquent 2y agoHey, I'm Jose. I was getting very frustrated with some videos where most of it is clickbait or random babbling and now I wasted 30 minutes. So I built a tool to help me get the content that I need in seconds. Definitely a game changer for me and hope you find it so as well
- mdrzn 2y agoDoes it actually "converts YouTube videos into written content" or does it fetch the auto captions on YouTube to write the content? These are two very different features.
- tapizquent 2y agoThat's a very good question! It does not currently look at the video, it uses the transcript. Currently working on some vision capabilities to actually view the video which should be done in the next few weeks.
