SnipKey – iOS App (Free)
- pompeii 2y agoHey everyone! I'm excited to share my latest project, SnipKey, a fully native keyboard extension I developed for iOS using Swift. This app allows you to easily save and access snippets like text, URLs, and images directly from your keyboard. A bit about my journey: Although I started with React Native, I wanted to dive deeper into the Apple ecosystem and decided to build something entirely in Swift. SnipKey is the result of that transition, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. The app respects your privacy while offering functionality like saving images directly from your gallery (with your permission, of course). I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback, and I’m here for any questions you might have about the app or the development process. Plus, if you've got ideas or features you'd love to see, let's chat! Thanks for checking it out! You can download SnipKey from the App Store https://apps.apple.com/us/app/snipkey/id6480381137 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/snipkey/id6480381137. Would love to hear your thoughts and reviews (if you have any time)! - k310 2y agoThe Developer Website link on the apps.apple.com page is a 404. The website link above is good. I am updating to ios 17 the usual way, by buying a new phone. The old one can't get there. This doesn't happen often. About once every 8 years or so. I'll try it shortly on the new phone,
- pompeii 2y agoThanks for taking the time to take a look at the app, the app store link is working now, probably some lag issues in app store while update their stores Yes, one of the requirements is to be at the latest OS because is using the latest feature from Swift/SwiftData
- ano-ther 2y agoVery promising to be much more flexible than standard keyboard shortcuts which don’t allow multi line. Nice privacy policy (don’t collect anything, storage is local). Three questions 1 How do I unlock private items? 2 How do I get back to the normal keyboard? On my iPhone SE there seems to be no button for it. To type this text, I had to disable it again which seems suboptimal. 3 What are your plans for the app?
- pompeii 2y agoHi! Thanks for taking the time to download the app! Privacy was the first thing on my mind also I’m looking to open source the code as well after some cleanup 1- private items are unlock by faceid/touchid/phone code 2- going to take a look at the iPhone SE keyboard, looks like is different from iPhone that has dynamic island/notch 3- the app is completely free, I thought on add some plans, but I change my mind to keep it free forever
