Most F500 corps don’t want to bother. “Good” engineers usually find work else where while all that’s left is the grinders and people getting ready to retire.
I remember working for an org/team and were on “sprint 500”. Sprints lasted 2 weeks. Team would largely just chill for the 5-6 days of the sprint then the rest of the 2 days were left grinding away at whatever bullshit was thrown into the sprint.
All management cared about was “did burn chart go down?” If yes, they didn’t bother following up. If no, then get nasty questions from project manager. I remember the scrum manager just manipulating the chart by moving out items to the next sprint. Or closing out the issue and creating a part 2 or 3 for the next sprint.
Some good and bad times.
