This story worries me. When a nation has rich resources that require specialized extraction, the people are worth less than the resources, and it's easier/more profitable to license foreign interests to extract the resources while screwing the (worthless) people. If you add in AI to do the thinking work, what can the people contribute? I know this can be a problem everywhere, but it will be a bigger problem in places where rich resources require specialized extraction.
