I don't think it's a question of 'which Linux' but which method am I going to use to work my Linux Desktop remotely? I use a headless Raspberry Pi to run my website. To use the Desktop running on the Rpi I use VNC Viewer on my 'real' Desktop machine. Now, mind you, This is all on the LAN. I don't know how well it would work on a distant network.
