How is opening up the Apple ecosystem a race to the bottom? Aren't they going to continue to produce their amazing products and apps? Are you implying that if they do open it up, they won't be as dominant? I don't understand how "opening up a walled garden" would ever result in a worse product. If anything, they'll have to compete and become even better.
