What is far more likely (though still small in probability) is that some states decide to secede.
Probably far more likely than actual states seceding is that many individuals will 'secede'. Think along the lines of Republicans vs. Democrats (for example) rather than California vs. Washington. As the ideological groups win over territory they will progress to more 'normal' territorial warfare.
Probably a good analogy would be the 'White Russians' vs. the 'Red Russians' civil war back in the 1920s.

- simonblack 2y agoThen again, you could look at it street-by-street and you would see that same sort of thing. Even room-by-room within a single house and again you could see that. Hence my comment about individuals 'seceding'. Even in the original Civil War, there were cases of individuals within a single family wearing Gray or Blue according to their personal beliefs. Though that was very rare.
