I think you're being overly optimistic here. Your data is already out there, and it's reasonable to assume it was not entirely deleted by each organization that got hold of it. There is no way to be sure, really.
What's more, companies face little to no repercussions for breaking the law. Most often than not fines are just a fraction of the profit they make off illegal activities.
- mrj 2y agoI'm not optimistic at all, but there is little else I can do. Best case scenario I can prevent the further spread of my data while it bit rots and becomes less useful. I will join the class action that is sure to come out of this, too.
