It is very much illegal to impersonate a lawyer. Being a member of the bar means state regulation, and it is very much an institution.
- meepmorp 14y agoBut on the other hand, that's likely only ever applied in instances where a person offersactual legal services to others without being admitted to the bar. Having worked service jobs in the past, I know that the population of the area where I worked was at least 70% lawyers, judging by the number of people who'd threaten to sue me/the business/the owners/unrelated parties when they didn't get what they wanted.
