it's the pedestrians hanging out in the bike lanes that are crazy :P that's not an NYC problem though, in Paris i couldn't walk for more than 15 min without seeing someone on a bike slam into a pedestrian from the ensuing dialogue though, i was starting to get the feeling they were doing it on purpose (both bikers and walkers)...
