I don't know where the issue is but I've been having tons of problems with Adobe stuff only when my MBP is connected to an external monitor. It's like the canvas in Illustrator stops rendering frames randomly. Sometimes I do something like writing text or dragging an object and it takes a second or two for the change to render.
