Microsoft has had a problem with trust issues since the 1980s.
Anybody older than about 35 has extremely little trust in Microsoft, from long experience. At Microsoft it's always been money over principles, whether those principles being security, business ethics, or just straight-out looking after customers and their needs. At Microsoft, Microsoft always comes first, to Hell with the rest of the World.
