It's completely sensible - Why would you just hand over your crown jewel to a competitor?
(At the same time, it doesn't seem like China really cares for its tech industry, given how many times they've sabotaged it. It is possible they don't care about what happens with TikTok.)
- sanxiyn 2y agoIt is not handing over. It is selling for a price. I think there IS a price that ByteDance would sell.
- pennybanks 2y agoits not that they dont care, they care a lot. chinese way of thinking is if you know how its made/how it works you can always make more, make another. no company is above the govt, china.
