- krisoft 2y agoPerhaps by reading the article you could answer your own question? And if you still have questions you can visit their webpage which has videos and pictures of many of their systems.
- max_ 2y agoThere is always a difference between marketing material and actual value propositions. People don't use AirBnB because they can "Belong anywhere". They often use it because it's cheaper than hotels. But you seldom find that in marketing material.
- Culonavirus 2y ago> They often use it because it's cheaper than That's pretty much what Anduril does. "You don't have to use a Patriot missile for that!" etc.
- llamaimperative 2y agoWhich is a legitimate strategic imperative in the world of asymmetric warfare. It is not good that someone can launch a $1,000 drone that requires $10,000,000 in air defense munitions to counter.
- Culonavirus 2y agoI don't know, but if it was me paying the bill I would care a lot about this: https://twitter.com/anduriltech/status/1780987267630395454 https://twitter.com/anduriltech/status/1780987267630395454 "the prototype was delivered ahead of schedule, and on budget" and statements like this: https://twitter.com/anduriltech/status/1783241461976256553 https://twitter.com/anduriltech/status/1783241461976256553 "We look forward to delivering CCAs on schedule, within budget, and at scale." And the scale part is important. The whole point of these CCA fleets is to have A LOT of them and for that they have to be relatively cheap to build and easy enough to produce in decent numbers. The quality of an individual CCA doesn't matter that much.
- hobofan 2y agoI think the hope is that they are quicker in producing drones that integrate ("collaborative") AI of the current generation than the traditional big suppliers.
- louislibre 2y agoDrone Warfare is all about big numbers and big swarms. Anduril contracts are "fixed price" and not "cost-plus". Usually ends up being way cheaper. You can't do BIG & DISPOSABLE with the current overpriced legacy defense contractors.
