Pulumi adds drift detection, time-to-live stacks, and scheduled deployments
- CSMastermind 2y agoPulumi's cloud offering to be clear. As far as I know you don't need to use their hosted solution if you don't want to (though maybe that's changed?)
- zwitkali 2y agoStill true! DIY backends are still and always will be an option.
- guessmyname 2y agoI encountered significant resistance at two previous companies (±120 employees and ±4750 employees, respectively) when attempting to implement Pulumi into our technology stack to address issues related to Terraform’s lack of composability. Despite working with teams heavily involved in Go programming, I expected them to happily embrace the technology. Unfortunately, they were reluctant due to Terraform’s dominant position at the time. Although I’ve since transitioned to other fields like ML/AI, my conviction remains that Pulumi could have provided a viable solution for those companies.
- michele 2y agoWe're using it and it's quite good! Not perfect, but not even Terraform is, but in my experience, it's much more enjoyable and powerful then Terraform.
