This post made it to #1 on HN in less than 10 minutes.
Is this a record?
- mbreese 14y agoDon't all posts start at #1 immediately, then trail away until they get upvotes? Or is that just how a user sees their own submissions?
- jacquesm 14y agoYou see it as #1 on the 'newest' page, but not on the 'new' page.

- ChuckMcM 14y agoNo, the instagram buyout was #1/Pg1 less than a minute after it hit /newest :-) I suspect a lot of people (like me) are following this closely so as soon as there is news it gets voted up here. Glad the jury found in Google's favor, I think that was the right call. And I really hope that Judge Alsup finds that APIs are not copywritable, Still waiting on that one.
