Last week I launched the Communick Collective, which is a crowdfunding platform with a mechanism similar to flattr: backers set a monthly fixed budget for their donation and they can choose how to split that among the different creators that they want to support.
The monthly contribution starts at $5/month, but how that is split can be down to 1% of your total budget.
Unlike the existing crowdfunding platforms, we charge no commission and creators get to keep all the money that was allocated to them - minus payment fees and taxes. The "twist" in the Collective is that you need to be an active subscriber for any of the services provided by Communick. Given that Communick plans start at $29/year, if you compare with Patreon (which takes 8% of the donations) anyone receiving more than $30/month through Patreon could benefit from our platform.
I'm getting in touch with as many content creators as I can, and hopefully in the coming days there will be more people available in the page of members.
