In AWS, AMIs are kept up to date and all you have to do is roll your instances inside an ASG (which is a 1 button thing) to have them updated with zero downtime

In AWS, AMIs are kept up to date and all you have to do is roll your instances inside an ASG (which is a 1 button thing) to have them updated with zero downtime. RDS takes backups, out of the box with zero configuration, and further customization is very easy.
