Firebrand ex-Arm China CEO founds a RISC-V processor startup
- meepmorp 2y ago"Firebrand," here presumably means, "crook who literally stole the Chinese subsidiary of a foreign company because that's just how shit works in China."
- fspeech 2y agoArm gave up voting control in order to demonstrate the independence of Arm China when it was set up, so investors other than Arm own a majority interest in the "subsidiary". While the CEO's action was bizzare he was eventually evicted so he did not succeed in taking over the company.
