I think it ties into human psychology. Put up a faq for your project, what do people do? Email, create issues, go on slack/discord and ask. People will create new questions constantly on SO, even if it's exact duplicates. People will ask for help from front desk people rather than searching on their own, or reading signs directly in front of them.
