  Copyright isn’t real, and gatekeeping pop culture in this fashion is ahistorical and revisionist, it’s literally not a thing that existed like this until the 19th or even 20th century. You can always pirate media/movies, above all else. Absolutely a case of it being always morally justified, unironically. Letting corpos take our popular social culture away with 150+ year exclusivity periods was never the intention. Disney could not have been started today, the modern copyright law is corpos pulling up the ladder after stealing from the public domain themselves, openly and blatantly. They picked the public domain into their pocket and charge us to rent it back.
