I just torrent. Why pay for new shows when there are literally hundreds of great shows and movies from years ago that I never got around to watching? There is a massive over supply of content. Much more to do with Corporations dumping cash into the content economy to fight with each other over finite Attention, than it has anything to do with content, the creative class or the quality of content generated. People have not really theorized what happens when Total Available Attention doesn't grow at the rate content does. When supply over runs demand price should drop to zero. Chaos and randomness shall prevail until we have better Attention Allocation theories.
