Sometimes you have to let them suffer a bit, suffering consequences so that they can learn, and sometimes you have to keep them from hurting themselves too much. You also grow with them. Learning together from different perspectives. After some time together, you see how your actions, not your words, shape their actions, even some unintentional or unconscious ones.
