I believe this hasn't been the case since they revamped the notification tiles in android 12. It for sure doesn't work like that for me on 14 on a pixel.

- iggldiggl 2y agoAs for actually turning the Wifi on or off, there's an additional option somewhere in the settings (which, if I remember correctly, goes quite a bit back further than just Android 12 – I think it was that way already back in Marshmallow/6) whether you want to leave background location scanning enabled or truly turn it off. As for the revamped notification tiles which mashed Wifi and mobile data together into one tile – this being Android, at least you can bring back the old behaviour via e.g. https://f-droid.org/packages/be.casperverswijvelt.unifiedinternetqs/ https://f-droid.org/packages/be.casperverswijvelt.unifiedint...
