The AI section of the report was pretty interesting—that for the most part use of AI in propaganda has been to augment existing video rather than deep faking things whole-cloth. Particularly notable to me was that audio is seeing more use than video. Moving conversations to private places where there are fewer voices of reason to offer debunks was something we all saw coming.
