Corporations are totally unsuited to handling unpredictability. In fact execs are trained to minimize or avoid dealing with anything unpredictable. So now we have this fantastic farce playing out, were all these people who are trained to deal with only the predictable and the controllable, are thrown into the front lines of dealing with the uncontrollable.
So like ants, when you throw something random at the ant hill, they all run around furiously acting as if this going to make some difference.
