As a lifelong liberal, I really wish other liberals wouldn’t talk this way with words like “intentionality” and phrases like “white male Westernized construct.” I understand what she’s getting at and I’m willing to believe her heart is in the right place, but this is kind of crap that continues to furnish the far right with unlimited ammo to use to paint all of us as “the radical left” and “liberal elites” and so forth. Why can’t my fellow liberals get it through their head that constantly talking as if you were giving a graduate level gender studies lecture is a big part of what is driving away everyday people from the Democratic Party and liberal causes?
